$5,000 Dividend Check for EVERY US Taxpayer (Uncut) 02-21-2025
Elon Musk: $5,000 Dividend Check for EVERY US Taxpayer from DOGE’s Reported Savings of $55 Billion
Welcome back to World Affairs in Context. Good news everyone, deficit spending is finally getting the attention that it deserves. If you have been a subscriber of mine for a while you know that I regularly post videos and I regularly post updates discussing the out-of-control federal debt and the out-of-control government spending and I’ve always done my best to make that a priority on my channel.
Well, the Department of Government Efficiency has so far saved approximately 55 billion with a B, billion dollars. The main goal of the project is to reduce the national debt and naturally reduce deficit spending. While that goal is still the top priority there’s now an interesting proposal to actually distribute part of the savings among all U.S. taxpayers.
Now, I do want you to read the original proposal. I will post that on my telegram channel and on worldaffairsandcontext.com. Make sure that you are subscribed to both of those platforms so that you are staying up to date. Personally, the most shocking news that I came across as I was researching this topic was that the Department of Government Efficiency discovered that the United States Treasury had 50 billion dollars a year going to people who have no known social security number.
So, this is absolute fraud and it’s just absolutely unbelievable. I am curious to see what else we may learn as part of this effort as more information is announced and as we discover more and more of what has been going on on such a high level on the federal level. I have to say that there are valid concerns associated with having private companies associated with the Department of Government Efficiency access IRS data, which means your taxpayer data.
For example, Fortune here claims that Elon Musk is seeking access to data that includes detailed financial information about every single U.S. taxpayer. According to a report from the Washington Post, now, I do have to say that I’m very skeptical of anything that is published by Washington Post, but regardless, here it says that the IRS is considering a memorandum of understanding that would give the Department of Government Efficiency access to the integrated data retrieval system. This is the IRS system, a system that allows IRS employees to access your taxpayer information.
The IDRS enables employees to have instantaneous visual access to certain taxpayer accounts. According to the IRS website, IRS employees with access to the system have the power to request tax returns, to research account information, and to automatically generate notices to you. So these are valid concerns, very very disturbing issues if not handled properly because this is your taxpayer data, this is your private information, but we will leave that for a future video and let me know what you think about that in the comments below.
Let me know what you think about this. Are you concerned at all? Well, the focus of this video are the refund checks. Earlier this week, Elon Musk said the Department of Government Efficiency is considering sending $5,000 refund checks to U.S. taxpayers.
This means that 20% of the Department of Government Efficiency expected savings by 2026, which is approximately $400 billion, may be sent to nearly 80 million households across the United States. The $5,000 payment figure is based on a $2 trillion target of savings and it is expected to come in the form of a tax refund check to net payers, not taxpayers, on record as of 2025. So if you have, if you pay taxes to the government and that is based on your income level, then you will get a check.
If you receive more from the government than you pay, perhaps via social programs, then this refund check will likely not be in your mail. It goes without saying that this is an absolutely unprecedented move and it would make history as the first of its kind redistribution of savings made by the Department of Government Efficiency. When asked what he thinks about the proposal to send $5,000 checks to taxpayers to U.S. households, here’s what Donald Trump had to say.
Take a look. Sir, Elon Musk is proposing potentially giving money to Americans based on what Doge is finding. Do you have any thoughts on that? I love it.
A 20% dividend, so to speak, for the money that we’re saving by going after the waste and fraud and abuse and all of the other things that are happening. I think it’s a great idea. How much money do you think? Could be a lot.
I mean, if it’s 20%, we’d give back a lot of money to the taxpayer and also give an incentive for the taxpayer to go out and report things to us where we can save money. At an investment conference that was held in Miami on Wednesday, Trump said that the administration is considering the concept in which 20% of the savings produced by the Department of Government Efficiency’s cost-cutting efforts would go to American citizens and another 20% will actually be used to pay down the national debt. The proposed payment to taxpayers is not to be confused with the pandemic era, with the pandemic-style stimulus payments.
Do you remember those? Let me know if you do. Stimulus payments were actually funded by Fed Chair Jerome Powell turning his money printer on, which caused out-of-control inflation, which we’re still dealing with today, while the proposed dividend will be funded with savings that are generated by the Department of Government Efficiency. The main goal of the Department of Government Efficiency dividend is twofold.
It is to share the benefit of its cost-cutting efforts with taxpayers and to boost morale, to increase U.S. tax receipts and to boost labor force participation. So if you access this proposal on worldaffairsandcontacts.com, make sure that you are subscribed. It’s free.
You will be able to read the proposal and you will be able to see the language and these main goals that I just quoted. I think it is great news, but it is not guaranteed just yet. It has not actually been implemented.
This is just a proposal as of the date of this video. The main focus should be to eliminate or at least to address the national debt issue and to reduce government spending. Yet at the same time, it’s also important to recognize that it will take years to do that.
It’s an undertaking that will take years. And in the meantime, the government really should make an effort to help U.S. taxpayers. And this proposal is just one of the best ways to accomplish that goal.
Additionally, if we are being honest, this is taxpayers’ money. This is not government’s money. This is taxpayers’ money to begin with.
So effectively, you will just be giving your money back a fraction of the money that is. Now, there are critics who say that, well, yes, that’s great. It’s great that taxpayers might receive a portion of their money back, but giving away billions of dollars would be inflationary or in the best case scenario, it would offset any positive effects that the spending cuts created.
And that may be a fair argument, but if U.S. consumers save that check or if they use it to pay down a part of their household debt that has skyrocketed over the past couple of years, I’d argue that there’s very little downside, if any at all. I would argue that this is a great way to give back. Let me know what you think about this in the comments below.
This is still a proposal. Again, I would like to underscore that this is still a proposal. It is a great one, I think.
I hope that it goes through. And I hope that the Department of Government Efficiency manages to find ways to cut the government spending and channel the funds to more meaningful programs. Please remember to show your support.
